I started writing a blog on December 15, 2010. My brother had died two days earlier.
I had no tears left.
I was hollow.
Not just empty.
Hollow.
There was nothing there.
Somehow, and I really don’t remember how, I started to tell Daniel’s story. I titled the blog “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” If you would like to read about my brother, Daniel, just click on this link. https://hairballgazette-california.blogspot.com/2010/12/he-is-gone.html
By February, I found that I was turning my grief into unstoppable work. It occurred to me that writing about it might help. And so, “Talkin’ to Myself” came into being. Here is the link to version 1. http://musingmueller.blogspot.com/2011/02/
My blog has brought me friends that I would never have met otherwise. Although I don’t write every day, I do share the projects and changes that occur in my life. There are a lot of dogs and cats, flowers and fiber arts. Lately, there is a lot of travel. Be careful, there is a bit of snark here and there!
I don’t consider myself a “writer”. I am not a “photographer”. I don’t force myself to write something or create anything. I write about the things I see and the stuff that my brain wants to sent out to the cosmos. But the blogging has helped me heal.
Grief will always be with me. But writing has helped me to accept the world as it is. Sometimes the things I write are relevant to other people.
That is a real kick.
Take a look around. You might like it.
I’m sorry for your loss.
We each blog for different reasons. I will say that blogging has allowed me to meet many of my online friends. I’ve lost count on all the wonderful people I’ve met.
Have a fabulous day. ♥

I love how powerful writing is! It has worked so many times in my adult basic education classes, helping people break down protective barriers put up around themselves because of very difficult school experiences. I’m glad writing has helped you! Keep writing & sharing!
